Our Doctor

Dr. Catherine Streegan brings more than 35 years of experience to family dentistry. Born in Manila and raised in Cebu City—the Philippines' first Spanish settlement and oldest city—she integrates her cultural background into her practice, ensuring a patient-focused approach and a commitment to high standards of dental care.

Dr. Streegan's academic journey began as a Rotary Exchange Student at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington. She continued her studies in the Philippines, acquiring pre-dentistry certification from the University of the Philippines and Cebu Doctor’s College, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Centro Escolar University in Manila. Dr. Streegan holds licenses in both the Philippines and California, having successfully passed both dental board examinations. Her postdoctoral training includes a pediatric preceptorship and general practice refresher program at the University of California, Los Angeles.

She further advanced her professional expertise by completing a four-year business management curriculum at The Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, Arizona, which emphasized the integration of practice management and personal development. Dr. Streegan maintains active involvement with the Center’s community and completed specialized training in full mouth reconstruction through a two-year program at the Spears Institute. She is licensed in General Dentistry and Oral Sedation.

Since 1992, Dr. Streegan has operated a private practice in Solvang, maintaining proficiency across restorative, endodontic, prosthetic, orthodontic, pediatric, surgical, and periodontal disciplines. Her dedication to continuing education ensures that her practice leverages the latest advancements in dental medicine.

Outside her clinical role, Dr. Streegan values time with her husband, Christopher, their three children—Cedar, Sazan, and Mario—and extended family. Her interests include culinary exploration, cycling, camping with an Airstream trailer, and attending local theatre performances.

Dr. Streegan demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement. She volunteers at free dental clinics in the Philippines, serves as Director of the Santa Barbara Ventura Dental Society, and participates in multiple local organizations, including the National Charity League, Atterdag Village board, High Meadow Road Community, and Village Lane Association. She remains dedicated to ongoing professional growth and sustained community involvement.
